A Case of the Cerebral Rete Mirabile

Abstract
|
|
|
Cerebral rete mirabile is the disease of unknown mechanism of development and found rarely in man although normal vasculature in some lower vertebrates such as cat, sheep, goat and pig.
We experienced a case of cerebral rete mirabile accompanying with hypoplasia of internal carotid artery, not totally but only in supraclinoid portion, which was confirmed by bilateral caratoid angiography.
